Repeal Dangerous Dogs Act
It is now the 30 year anniversary of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. We believe that the law is unfair because it focuses too much on a dog's breed or looks, instead of an individual dog's behaviour.
Dogs suspected of being a banned type are typically torn away from their families and left in kennels for a significant time.
It is clear that there is a better solution: effective legislation to tackle dog-related issues, regardless of breed or looks, and educational programmes focusing on prevention of dog bites.
